I don't know how much of "The Simpsons" you have ever watched, but seeing those pics of the markets has made me glaze over and make that gurgley-drool sound Homer makes when donuts or other goodies are on his mind.
That has to be just my favorite food fantasy...I see programs of some of the open air markets around the world, and even just in places here in the U.S. (of course not near me...) Just to have unlimited money (and car space) and be able to stroll those big markets and pick up anything that looks good or interesting, and chat with vendors and locals...then cook it all up and feed a huge crowd.
Even with only the small places here I like to "play European" sometimes and buy some fresh bread, some good cheese and fruit and eat it at a park or water-side and just enjoy the air and food and scenery.
Glad the experiences were so great for you, and life-changing. I love seeing the posts! (I am totally nosy...)
